From August 18th through 24th, Kidogo Arthouse Gallery will be featuring the collaborative imagery from national award winning photographers Kirsty Aksentiew & Lauren Waye. The exhibition, titled 4, is named for their shared fascination of exploring the USA over four weeks.

Kirsty & Lauren’s shared fascination of the USA developed in early 2010. The four week adventure
played out in February 2011. Their four week exploration inspired the collaborative exhibition of 60 photographic prints.

Individually, Kirsty and Lauren are known as two of WA's successful wedding photographers. Kirsty's studio, Aksent Photography, is based in North Perth. Lauren owns Lauren Waye Photography based in Doubleview.

Kirsty’s personal work is based on her love of the environment that man has created. She is drawn to architecture, graffiti, construction, tones in light, fabrication and anything shiny. Her images can be described as a whimsical combination of randomness.

Lauren is a recorder of her life and the world around her. She thinks everyone should try skydiving at least once.

The exhibition opening will take place at Kidogo ArtHouse @ Bathers Beach, Mews Road Fremantle
on Thursday, the 18th August from 6.30 to 9.30pm.
Exhibition runs from 19th - 24th August. Monday - Friday: 9am-5pm,
Saturday - Sunday: 10am - 4pm.
Parking is available at Cliff Street carpark & Little High Street,
Fremantle.
