Complete with exposed beams and a Rustic wooden floor, This renowned space is coveted by artists, musicians & wedding planners alike. Typically, the Large Gallery holds 70 – 90 people for a sit- down meal, Or up to 130 people for a cocktail-style wedding.

    No, the venue is not available for these events.
  • What time do events need to finish?
    All events end at 10:30pm, with pack-up immediately afterwards.
  • What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my event?
    You can move indoors — the Large Gallery is included in your booking and provides a backup option.
  • What furniture and equipment are available?
    Free use of trestle tables, timber/metal chairs, vintage furniture, and rustic styling items. Additional items like glassware, crockery, and umbrellas can be hired at low cost.
  • Is there enough toilet access?
    The venue has one toilet. Additional toilets must be hired if required.
  • What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my event?

  • What areas of the venue are included in the hire?
    You get exclusive use of the Deck, Kitchen, Galleries, and Limestone Courtyard. The back studio is excluded as it is a workspace.
  • Are there any discounts for small groups?
    Yes, we offer a 20% discount for groups smaller than 26. Check out our wedding fee calculator for more information.
  • Is there a discount for booking my wedding on a weekday?
    Yes there is. Weekday weddings (Monday to Thursday) receive a 15% discount off our weekend price. Check out our wedding fee calculator for more information.
  • Can we self-cater or bring our own caterer?
    Yes, you may self-cater or use an external caterer, which can save costs compared to venues with in-house catering.
  • Can we bring our own alcohol?
    Yes, you can supply your own alcohol. However, Kidogo staff must serve it — alcohol cannot be self-served.
  • How much does staff cost?
    Staff are $54 per hour + GST (higher rates on public holidays). An event coordinator can be hired for $80 per hour + GST. We will advise how many staff you need for your wedding upon submitting a booking request.
  • Can we use confetti at Kidogo Arthouse?
    No, confetti is not permitted as it gets stuck in the floorboards and limestone courtyard, making it impossible to clean.
  • What alternatives do couples use instead of confetti?
    Many couples use flower petals, which look beautiful. Please note, petals must be thoroughly swept up by your stylist, or a $100 cleaning fee will apply.
  • Are there other non-messy options?
    Yes, some couples provide small bubble bottles for guests to blow bubbles around the couple, which is also very popular and creates a stunning effect.
  • Can we play music outside on the deck?
    Yes, mellow playlists can be played until 8:30pm. After that, music must stop outdoors and only continue indoors.
  • Can we book live music or a band?
    Live music is permitted indoors in the Large Gallery only, not on the deck. Music volume must remain contained within the venue.
  • What are the hire fees for the venue

  • What is required to secure my booking?
    Once you request a wedding booking, the Kidogo Arthouse team will contact you to confirm some finer details to ensure your day is perfect! After confirmation, your date will be booked in, with a non-refundable deposit of $990 issued within 7 days of invoice. The balance is due 3 months before your event.
  • What if my event is affected by a government lockdown?
    No refunds are given, but deposits and payments can be transferred to a new date.
  • Can we hire additional furniture or equipment from external suppliers?
    Yes, you are welcome to bring in hire furniture from any supplier.
  • Do we need to clear the venue after the event?
    Yes, all personal and hire items must be cleared by the end of the event, or by arrangement the next morning.
  • Who is responsible for damages?
    Clients take full responsibility for protecting the artwork, heritage building, and guests, and covering costs of any damage.
  • Can Kidogo recommend suppliers?
    Yes, Kidogo can provide details of trusted caterers, stylists, and musicians once you’ve booked your event.
